Ayni is a small grassroots organization located in the coastal desert of Piura, Peru. The word “Ayni,” means “Today for you, Tomorrow for me.” Ayni assists children and families living in absolute poverty by focusing on Education & Development.
Brother Andre, through its ongoing support, has helped hundreds of children continue their education in the developing world for the past 8 years. The reality that most children stop their schooling at the elementary level has changed as a result of Brother Andre’s “Change for Change,” annual Drive. B.A. has also helped equip these students for their studies by purchasing school supplies for over 350 children annually.
Ayni is everything B.A.! Over a dozen dedicated B.A. students have travelled to Peru to volunteer with Ayni. It’s founder, Margie Orsi, is a Teacher and Pioneer Student of Brother Andre. The Brother Andre Community, together with Ayni, have made social justice an integral part of our Catholic Commitment. Catholic Social Values like “Preferential Option for the Poor,” and “Promotion of the good of all because we are all responsible for all,” are among a few.
On behalf of the Children in Peru, God Bless & Thank You for your Support!
